ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Onboarding
    • Collaborate with the People and Culture department to manage our onboarding process and ensure new team members are consistently and efficiently integrated into the company in a meaningful way.
  • Employee Relations
    • Ensures all People and Culture communications and initiatives demonstrate an understanding of the company’s behavior standards to foster a culture of belonging and align with strategic goals.
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders on managing internal investigation process, internal and external claims, offboarding processes, and workforce management plans.
    • Manage and continuously improve team member voluntary and involuntary offboarding process to create external cultural ambassadors. 
    • Ensure all team member electronic files are secure, complete, and well maintained in HRMS to best reflect entire team member lifecycle.
    • Collaborate with the Director of People and Culture at Tucker, as well as Lean Solutions Group's (LSG) Branch Manager and Operations Manager, to ensure LSG team members are consistently managed in accordance with Tucker Company and LSG policies and procedures in a way that foster a culture of belonging.
    • Ensure incentive plan documents and job descriptions for each role are up to date in DMS to support transparency in all roles for team members. Ensure all job descriptions and job postings are in accordance with federal, state, local laws and guidelines, as well as ISO-9001.
    • Process team member promotion and job change letters as needed.
    • Manage performance review process in HRMS and collaborate with Marketing to ensure communications to all team members and managers support the Performance Management Process strategy.
    • Ensure all team member inquiries, concerns, and requests are prioritized to maintain an excellent team member working experience with the People and Culture department.
  • Legal and Compliance
    • Ensure all People and Culture procedures, work instructions, and documentation are in accordance with federal, state, local laws, and guidelines, as well as ISO-9001.
    • Proactively manage Labor Law posters process to ensure company is meeting all state and federal requirements across all team member locations.
    • Create and manage a team member leave and workforce accommodation process that effectively informs all team members and managers of state, federal, and company Leave of Absence (LOA)/accommodation benefits, eligibility requirements, action items, and length of time parameters to help manage team member approved LOA/accommodations.
    • Ensure all company policies and company handbook are in accordance with local, state, and federal employment law practices.
    • Continuously collaborate with the Training and Development Manager to ensure all policy and procedure information is developed into training and updated as needed to help team members and managers understand and manage accordingly. 
    • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure organizational chart is continuously updated and organizational changes are effectively communicated to maximize transparency into organizational role changes
  • Human Resources Management System
    • Update HRMS data when needed and serve as support for team members navigating the system.
    • Conduct audits of HRMS data, ATS data, LinkedIn, Handshake, and the People and Culture DMS files, and recommend corrective action to DPC when needed.
    • Develop and present team member data reports to support People and Culture strategic efforts, as needed.
    • Manage time-off plans to ensure alignment with Tucker Company policies, contracted company’s policies, and federal, state, and local guidelines.
    • Recommends new or additional software to meet People and Culture strategic objectives and participates in implementation projects as needed.
  • Total Rewards
    • Collaborate with Director of People and Culture to ensure the company total rewards strategy attracts and retains top talent, as well as demonstrates Tucker’s care for team members, and manages strategy accordingly. 
    • Manage all total rewards plans, including processing new enrollments, changes, and terminations both internally and with our benefits broker and internal stakeholders as needed.
    • Manage company’s benefit platform and carrier platforms to ensure the information is consistently up to date and contains the most relevant total reward information to optimize team member user experience.
    • Proactively, effectively, and creatively collaborate with Marketing to inform team members of all opportunities, changes, and important dates in total rewards plans to help retain and attract top talent.
    • Collaborate with Accounting to ensure total rewards communication supports federal, state, and local guidelines and mandates.
    • Collaborate with the Training and Development Manager to create and manage educational total rewards related training and materials and proactively inform TDM of updates when needed to help retain and attract top talent.
    • Collaborate with Marketing to create a promotion strategy to highlight Tucker’s total rewards program and demonstrates the company’s care for team members emotional and physical wellbeing and manages wellbeing initiatives as needed to retain and attract top talent.
  • Talent Acquisition
    • Manage a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy to hire talent that supports company’s growth needs and ensure the company has the expertise and capacity to meet service demands and emerging opportunities. 
    • Recommend candidates who demonstrate an understanding and embodiment of Tucker’s behavior standards to preserve and enhance our culture of accountability and belonging.
    • Manage Applicant Tracking System and ensure all data remains relevant, updated, useful to optimize user experience for Tucker hiring teams.
    • Strategically present regular talent pipeline updates and metrics to hiring teams to allow sourcing strategies to improve and hiring decisions to continuously be made to support company growth needs.
    • Collaborate with Marketing to create and manage promotion strategies to highlight current openings and workplace culture to attract high-caliber talent.
    • Manage a complex and high-volume interview calendar for all open positions both cross-departmentally and across multiple time zones to ensure a consistent excellent candidate and hiring team experience to support the company’s growth needs.
    • Proactively act as a liaison with candidates and hiring team members to drive consistent, timely, and effective communication to create external cultural ambassadors.
    • Manage interview guides for each role in the company to support the talent acquisition strategy and ensure the company has the expertise to meet service demands and emerging opportunities.
    • Identify and participate in networking and industry-related events, recruitment events, and on-campus activities to promote the company’s core values, culture connectors, training and development strategy, and strategic plan to build and strengthen a passive and active talent candidate pipeline.
    • Collaborate with Training and Development Manager to ensure talent acquisition training includes guidance on federal, state, and local guidelines.
  • Retention
    • Manage Top Workplace Award survey process and translate the data to help the company measure and improve retention in each department.
    • Conducts, documents, and analyzes stay and exit interviews to improve team member retention strategies.
    • Administer and analyze company engagement survey data to help optimize team member engagement and retain top talent to support a culture of belonging.
    • Collaborate with Marketing to promote, manage, and continuously find ways to enhance the company’s team member recognition program to reward team members demonstrating behavior standards in daily operations to ensure team members feel they are contributing to meaningful work outcomes.
    • Collaborate with TDM and Marketing to manage tuition reimbursement program, including CTB registrations.
    • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure Tucker Times effectively communicates timely, relevant, and informative People and Culture updates and action items to retain talent and promote a culture of belonging.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1-2 years of human resources experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
PREFERRED SKILLS
  • SHRM, HRCI, or other HR related certifications
  • Experience in HRMS platforms, specifically Namely
  • Experience in ATS platforms, specifically JazzHR
  • Transportation industry experience
